Gibson Les Paul Bold Tones

Gibson Les Paul

One of the biggest reasons the Les Paul has become so popular is the striking classic tones it produces.  The Gibson Les Paul is one of the guitars that truly delivers a strong bold tone to its audience.

One of the ways it does this is through its dual humbucking pickups, which helps to produce a much higher output and also a much richer sounding tone.  Coupled by the heavy wooden body of the instrument, the Gibson Les Paul really delivers a quality sounding output.  Over the years one thing hasn't changed that is the design. While small design changes like the knobs or serial numbers have changed, the design really has remained the same.

The guitar is made up of two volume pots and two humbucking pickups and controls, which when controlled change the style of guitar play and output.

Position 1:  With te switched flipped down, the bridge pickup generates crunchy bold sounds which are mainly used by lead guitarists.

Position 2: In the middle position, both pickups are activated, generating a much more balanced tone.

Position 3: With the switch flipped upward.  The guitar puts out a much deeper and lower pitched sounding rhythm.
